About The Project
Promoting assistive technology in e-sports

My thesis project aimed to raise awareness for accessibility issues within the gaming industry.

The Problem

Many gamers with disabilities can't join e-sports competitions because their adaptive devices are often banned.

The Solution

We can break the stigma around assistive devices by encouraging their use and raising awareness during competitions.

Collaborative Effort
An Inclusive E-Sports Tournament

To reach a large audience of gamers, I created a collaboration between Forza Motorsport and the Ablegamers Charity.

The Goal is Inclusivity

The goal is to show that assistive devices in tournaments give players with disabilities a fair chance to compete.

Raising Awareness
Advertising Posters

Forza will be raising the standard for inclusivity in e-tournaments with these advertising posters.

"This year, we're paving the way."
Deliverables
Trading Cards

Competitors in the tournament will receive trading cards with their racing information and inclusivity principles to share.

Gaming Interface Design
Educational Checkpoints

Checkpoints will give an opportunity to learn more about accessibility features and how they help gamers have a better gaming experience.

Showing Our Student Work
FIT Graduating Student Exhibition '24

My school hosted an exhibition to showcase our posters and case studies to the public.

What I Learned
Key Takeaways

I learned to always take into account the perspectives and experiences of others. It will only help you to grow as a designer and a person.
